A new home!

Wahooo!! Mike and I have finally entered the blog world. A lot has happened since we have been married but I will try to fill in the gaps as I go along. Mike and I have been married two years (we just celebrated our second wedding anniversary on Aug 1), and we are loving it!

This is our new apartment. We live on College Avenue where campus is literally down the street from us. We have loved being "in town". Our windows are the first row of corner ones on the brick part of the building. We have about three of them, and we love it because it lets in a lot of light and when it gets really hot we just open all of them for a nice breezy draft.
Since Mike works in archives a lot he found this photo of our building. It used to be an old hotel and is about a hundred years old.

A nice maroon kitchen! Mike surprised me and painted the kitchen and most the walls. I say most because he ran out of paint! But it still looks a ton nicer than what it used to looks like...

I also came back to this surprise when I came back from Atlanta. This is one of my favorite wedding photos where Mike did a Rasterized image. You can't see it but the photo is just made of dots!

Mike is just full of surprises because he also did this while I was gone. I got the idea from a craft blog and Mike ran away with it. He is so dang creative. He has basically decorated our whole apartment!

This is what our apartment looked before. Dark brown walls with a bright green kitchen! Ahhh! We felt like we were living in a cave the whole time with some deranged kitchen color. In this picture I am probably thinking of where we are going to put all our kitchen appliances/food. We only had 3 cupboards. However with a little work we have worked around that, and are happy with our new little apartment:)
